Honeywell contracts Knowledge Agency to support architecture modeling in the SESAR program for Air Traffic Management. The support consists of providing models for U-space service providers as well as vision-based and terrain-aided navigation. The models will be provided in accordance with the European ATM Architecture (EATMA) framework using the MEGA toolset. The engagement covers both operational architecture models to be used as input to OSEDs and technical architecture models to be used in TS/IRS deliverables.

Vinnova awards Knowledge Agency with a one-year contract to support the agency in two areas. To develop joint administrative initiatives for digital information sharing of authority data and, in collaboration with external actors, work for innovative eHealth solutions for utilization of health data.

EUROCONTROL awards Knowledge Agency with a contract to define and develop a plan for provisioning of their Architecture support to other stakeholders in Air Traffic Management, in particular Air Navigation Service Providers. The work continues the long term support Knowledge Agency has been providing to establish the European ATM Architecture (EATMA).

Knowledge Agency is assigned to participate in a Vinnova (Swedish Innovation Agency), DIGG and SKR delegation trip to Singapore. The mission is to do in-depth interview with representatives of GOVTECH and other selected innovative actors in Singapore. Together with Vinnova, conduct dialogues with important national actors to form a clearer picture of how Vinnova contributes to the digital infrastructure, such as data access, governance, and information security.

On August 21-22, a joint System Wide Information Management (SWIM) demonstration between LFV and Swedavia related to Arlanda airport was performed by the Swedish SPADS research project which Knowledge Agency provides consulting services to.

The demonstration, to over 70 participants, covered two main operational scenarios related to snow and medical events and one technical scenario which demonstrated the development and implementation of SWIM services.

“We have seen that demonstrations are critical in spreading understanding of the SWIM concept and achieving executive level buy-in and are very proud of the outcome of the SPADS work. The European ATM Architecture Framework (EATMA) and European ATM Portal (eATM portal) that Knowledge Agency has helped develop is recognised by major stakeholders to be an instrumental part in the modernising of Europe’s Air Traffic Management.

The framework enables projects to collaborate with other projects and input their solution data, develop modelling operational scenarios and customise dashboards allowing experts to follow progress on solutions. The entire information is shared throughout the programme via the eATM web portal which is fed with data from the underlying architecture repository.

The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting), has acquired Inera AB to strengthen and accelerate the digitalisation in the local authorities and regions. Utilising Ineras long experience in providing e-health related services at a national level, the intention is to further expand to regions and local authorities and other domains such as social care and education.

One of the key enablers for this digital transformation is the Architecture function at Inera as it provides guidelines and facilitates collaboration between the actors, including regions, local authorities, private actors and citizens.

Knowledge Agency has been contracted to support Inera in developing and implementing the next generation architecture framework and act as mentors to architects in the various organisations. The framework includes a description of the digital ecosystem, processes and methods for architecture development, architecture description guideline etc. Architectures encompass reference and target architectures that range from strategic business architecture to architectures of technical platforms and services for information exchange.

The contract with Dometic has been extended for Knowledge Agency to provide support to the establishment of an Enterprise Architecture (EA) function in the company. Knowledge Agency will act as interim lead Enterprise Architect with responsibility of developing the EA practice, and to support the CIOs at group and regional levels as well as strategic projects to accelerate the digital transformation that the company is performing.

Knowledge Agency signs new a contract to support mobile living products manufacturer Dometic in their IT Architecture Review Board. Dometic is rapidly transforming their business and IT landscape, including implementation of a new global ERP System which requires expert support in the areas of Enterprise and IT-Architecture.

Per Andrén is assigned the position of Creative Director. Per has extensive experience from the advertising and media industry and has, among other things, worked for some of Sweden’s most well-known agencies and has also been assigned the task of developing the prestigious Guldägget competition package. In recent years Per has further acted through his own business, together with several growing corporations, providing support in trademark development.

Mikael Månström is assigned the position of Business Manager and KA representative for the Caribbean. Prioritized areas include support for extended Swedish presence in the region, Disaster and Emergency Management, EA and general Management Consulting. In addition to his experience in Disaster & Emergency Management from Sweden, EU, New Zealand and the Caribbean, Mikael has extensive experience from leading positions as director of IT Operations at the Swedish Government Offices, Deputy Chief Engineer in the JAS Gripen project, Technical Director ERIEYE Airborne Early Warning Radar, Program Manager in the SESAR project and Quality Manager for numerous EU/EDA programs.

Knowledge Agency, working on behalf of the EDA (European Defence Agency) and within the framework of a supplier cooperation, develops a maturity model for Information Management (IM) from an EA perspective, as its contribution to this joint cooperation. The model is to be used to support the introduction of a coordinated capability development process regarding Information Management and Service-Oriented Architecture within the European disaster and emergency management authorities.
