Knowledge Agency has been contracted by Vinnova, Sweden’s government agency for innovation, to assess and evaluate a novel concept for an ontology based information management platform. The concept introduces a way to manage knowledge in an ontological format which is linked to actual data. This allows efficient discovery of data and provides the ability to anonymise it and for a data owner to control who has access to the data, irrespectively of where it is stored. The objective is to determine whether the concept can be applied at a national or even global level, starting from a practical example application in the medicine informatics area.

Knowledge Agency launches three new workshops to support the digital transformation.
Go Digital for the Public Sector | A kick start for service enablement in the public sector.
Architected Project & Program Management | How to use architecture and a model-based approach to efficiently manage projects and programs.
Crisis Management Operations | The Information Management Workshop (IMW) offers participants an opportunity to learn about and practice how to master the three Information Management dimensions of a Network Enabled Capability for Crisis Management Operations (NEC-CMO): People, Information and Technology.
Knowledge Agency participates at Integrated EA 2016. The conference is aimed at professional Enterprise Architects, Systems Engineers, CTOs and CIOs focused on enterprise architecture in Government and industry. The conference, held in London will focus on architecting for security and data architecture.
The European Air Traffic Management Architecture which Knowledge Agency supports Eurocontrol to develop has been awarded the 2015 Leadership in Enterprise Transformation using Enterprise Architecture award from the biggest names in Enterprise Architecture; Zachman International and the Federated Enterprise Architecture Certification Institute (FEAC™).
The award was presented at the 13th Annual Excellence in Enterprise Architecture Awards in Washington DC on 8th October and the winning team comprised NATS, Eurocontrol, DFS, Indra and ENAV. The SESAR Joint Undertaking provided support and sponsorship, while MEGA International provided the necessary tools and enterprise architecture solutions.
The team were awarded the accolade for their creation of the European ATM Architecture (EATMA), which provides a structure and method for the integration of the material developed by SESAR projects. The EATMA is of particular importance to the future of European ATM as it makes it possible to organise and structure the output of SESAR and to identify gaps, overlaps and inconsistencies in its content. It describes what organisations involved in European ATM have to do in order to improve the overall system. After five years of coordinated effort to get the EATMA accepted and understood by the key stakeholders within SESAR, it is now a core part of the management of the content of the current SESAR R&D programme and is considered central for future evolutions.
